New smilies

Long time no see guys, been busy lately... I'm not dead, just paused. Well I'm here to tell you that I have added a lot of new smilies, we'll be adding some more and some other things too. Basically, topic icons and smilies. You may also realize that some of the old smilies are gone, actually they're not, just hidden. I've also deleted some old ones like they requested. Click on the "View more smilies" while you're posting to see them ;-)

Ok, I've seen a few questions swirling around here, and we had to repeat them a few times. So here is...

The Answer Thread!

I'll answer the questions (even if you didn't ask them. Saves trouble).

The Site:

If there's a portal button, why is there no portal?
We still need some programmers that can make portals.

What does Fusionportal mean?
Fusionportal is where 'Stuff mixes', or, another word for mix being 'fuse'. Thus, we get Fusionportal!

The colours of my page change when I log in/out! What's happening?
You may have changed your board style. go to Profile -> Edit Global Settings -> My board style: and use the drop-down menu. When you log out, the board style switches to default.

How do I become a mod/admin of Fusionportal?
You can't. We already have enough mods and admins.

Please note: You have a much greater chance of becoming a mod, and not an admin. Only those who prove are good, responsible and NOT stupid (while being a mod) can be an admin. Also, we are constantly updating the team so don't worry about it.

Why are the forums so big?
Not my idea, really.

Posting:

My threads keep getting binned! Why?
Your threads are either useless, spam, or a flamewar broke out in them. Spam threads are either binned or moved into the Spam Room.

I posted like hell a minute ago, why hasn't my post count changed?
If you posted in the Spam Room, your post count does not rise, as otherwise it would be way too easy to gain post counts and it makes our job harder than it already is. If you did not post in the spam room, and you posted elsewhere, report this to one of the admins and we'll try to sort it out.

The BBCode isn't working! What's happening?
You may have mistakenly clicked on the 'Disable BBCode' button, which is self-explanitory. If this didn't work, check the BBCode you typed again. If it still refuses to work, report this to an admin.

The smilies are huge! Why are they so big?
They are big. Just live with it.

Why, in my posts, some words change to I've/you etc...
Word cenoring went gay. But it's fixed now.

Art:

Pictures aren't loading up! Why?
Check your browser settings. Fusionportal images may have been blocked.

My pictures got deleted! Why?
Your picture had broken a rule, so it was deleted.

It says 'Image' on screen, but there's no picture! Why is this?
Look two questions up.

Animation:

The animation won't load!
Your animation may be loading. Or the BBCode has been typed wrongly. Remember to type the DIRECT LINK.

Note: Before changing the BBCode, right click on the animation. If 'Play' 'Foreward' etc come up, click 'Play'.

Are there any Flash tutorials?
Yes, they're in the 'Animation' forum.
